The Department of Civil Engineering organized an awareness session on 02 February 2026 at the Civil Seminar Hall, D-Block, to promote the 13th Earth Care Awards – Young Climate Champions Programme, an initiative by JSW in association with The Times of India. The session was conducted by Mr. Rumit Walia, Manager – Youth Affairs, Earthday.ORG Asia.

The programme recognizes impactful contributions in climate change mitigation and adaptation. Students were briefed about the objectives, eligibility criteria, and nomination process, and were encouraged to submit innovative ideas and research proposals aligned with sustainable infrastructure and climate-resilient development.
