INDUCTION PROGRAM 2019
The First session was on Self-Management conducted by Mr. Anupam Bhargav. He motivated students by sharing his rich experience. He told that if we have to succeed in this highly competitive era we should be more scientific rather than following orthodox. He also had thrown light on management concept, management by objectives and time management. He also made students aware about the present scenario of economy and the role of foreign direct investment, foreign trade, and per capita income.
The second session was taken by CA Rajkumar Babel on leadership. He emphasised the importance of leadership in the present scenario. He said that leadership is the ability of a manager to induce subordinates to work with confidence and Zeal. The success and happiness of an organisation, a nation and even the whole humanity depends to a great extent on leadership.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CORPORATE GOVERNANCE IN GLOBAL CONTEXT: PROSPECT AND CHALLENGES
On 29th March, 2019 International Conference on the above theme was organised which focused on capturing emerging trends in corporate governance. This conference endeavors to bring all academician, researchers, practicing managers and students together to share their idea and research findings, discuss prospects and challenges of corporate governance and above all nurture and consolidate a culture of research in various domain in management as well as interdisciplinary studies in India.
NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON DATA ANALYSIS USING EXCEL & SPSS
A National level Workshop on “Data Analysis Using Excel & SPSS: was held at Department of Management Studies, GITS, Udaipur on 12-13 December, 2018. The objective was to give an introduction to data analysis using Excel & SPSS. The main aim of the program is to enhance the participants’ analytical skills on Excel & SPSS. The content of the program was delivered through practical approach to build a strong foundation of the participants on these tools.In total 33 registrations were made from the different institutes of division including Govt. Meera Girls College, Mewar B.Sc. Nursing College, UCCMS, MLSU, B. N. University, FMS, JRNVU, RCA, MPUAT and PAHER University. The two days program was divided into 5 sessions and all the sessions were taken by Dr. Dharmesh Motwani. The first session was on the basics of data analysis followed by the second session which was on basics of data analysis using Excel. On the second day the all the three sessions were on data analysis using SPSS. The program was well appreciated by all the participants.
A NATIONAL SEMINAR ON CORPORATE ETIQUETTES
The National Seminar on “Corporate Etiquettes” was conducted by Asst. Professor (Soft Skills) Archana Singh. The session focused on Corporate Etiquette protocols that are essential to make a good first and lasting Impression in the national and international business environment. The session covered Power Dressing, Body Language, Cell Phone, Email etiquettes. This has developed a greater awareness of grooming and etiquettes which ultimately increased students’ poise and confidence. The session was completely based on role plays of Handshake Method, stance, fun group activities and stories. These activities made students to learn with fun. Students were highly excited after learning psychology behind every kind of handshake. Students felt a great change in their attitude and body language after this informative session.
A NATIONAL SEMINAR ON COMMUNICATION SKILLS & PERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS
A National seminar was organised by department of management of Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies. The main motive behind the seminar was to improve the communication skills of the students and to improve the personal effectiveness so that they can meet the need of any organisation. An increasingly sophisticated set of communication skills are needed in the 21st century workplace; it is important that students’ get trained on the skills desired by institutes and align their communication to meet future needs. They should enhance quality & rigor of writing standards; build skills to speak in public and work towards acquiring a positive self-image and business etiquette.
Treasure Hunt activity was conducted in which student teams had to search a hidden treasure through a series of clues hidden all across the college campus. Motive behind it was to edify students how to improve their observation skills, improves student’s management skill in the aspects of planning, organizing, controlling and leading, enhances student’s communication skills, self-confidence to be effective managers and lastly to enhance student’s problem solving skills to prepare them to overcome any possible challenges encountered when managing an event. In total 10 teams participated out of which 6 teams qualified the screening round.
CELEBRATION OF MATRIBHASHA DIWAS
The UNESCO has declared 21st February every year as International Mother Language Day to promote the dissemination of mother languages and further awareness of linguistic and cultural traditions throughout the world and to inspire solidarity based on understanding. In regard to this as directed by UGC, Geetanjali Institute celebrated Matribhasha Diwas on 21st February, 2019. Debate & Poetry competition were conducted for the students of B.Tech., M.Tech., MCA and MBA. The theme for the Debate was “Social Media: Boon or Curse for Youth” and 2. Poetry Recitation was done on “Indian Culture & Value System. The top three winners of debate competition were Govinda Tak, Himanshi Rathore and Mariya MH. In the poetry recitation the first, second and third prizes were grabbed by Yashwant Lohar, Manoj Dadheech and Mariya MH respectively.
INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON CORPORATE LEADERSHIP IN THE MILLENNIUM: EMERGING PARADIGMS
The department of management studies organised an international seminar on “Corporate leadership in the Millennium: Emerging Paradigms” on 28th July 2018.Prof S. S. Lodha, Professor of Marketing, School of Business, Southern Connecticut state university New Haven , USA was the resource person. Prof P.K.Jain (Director, MBA) highlighted the theme of the seminar. Prof S.S.Lodha, during his two hours of marathon speech explained the emerging dimensions in the field of corporate leader. Ethical, political, Sociological community and geo-political issues which decides the fate of leadership in any system were elaborately discussed. As per the resource person the long term survival of any system hinges upon the competence of leader rather than financial and structural aspects. The audience enjoyed the global experience and diverse incidents narrated by the resource person during the lecture.
BASICS OF RESEARCH
The objective of this program was to spread knowledge about ways of conducting research to produce new knowledge and understanding any topic in depth. This program dealt with the fundamental concepts of the research which will give participants a right direction to initiate any research. In total 87 students & 9 faculty members attended the program. The Session was taken by Dr. Dharmesh Motwani and program was well appreciated by the participants.
MOTIVATIONAL SEMINAR IN COLLABORATION WITH RAJASTHAN PATRIKA
29th November Saflta apki Muthi Mein a motivational Lecture Cum Quiz Competition for Our MBA students was organised in collaboration with Rajasthan Partika. Motivational Speaker was Shiva Singh.
VISIT TO MEWAR BIO-DIVERSITY PARK
Students of MBA I Semester and III Semester of Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies were taken to Mewar Biodiversity Park on 10th August 2018. Mewar Biodiversity Park is also prominent for being a home to many fauna species which include but not limited to the species of reptiles, mammals, birds, amphibians, and ordinates. Recreational centre and Purohito Ka Talav are other attractions of the park. The students enjoyed as there were many recreational activities like Nature trail walk, Zip line and valley crossing, Horse ride, Obstacle course Park etc.
ACADEMIC INDUSTRY INTERFACE
Industry and academia interface is highly crucial in knowledge driven economy, where the students pursuing different professional programmes are expected to be well versed in the industry working. GITS consciously encourages industry interaction with a wide cross-section of professionals in the industry.
Summer projects, industry interaction programs, seminars, workshops etc., are organized in association with the industry. These events offer students an opportunity to observe and assimilate the structure, the organizational traits and the business environment of the industry. The students are able to learn communication skills, analytical abilities and get awareness of the prerequisites of the job requirements in all sectors.
